Description

This Easy Pumpkin Dessert is a festive twist on classic tiramisu, featuring layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a creamy pumpkin mixture infused with mascarpone and cream cheese. Perfectly spiced with cinnamon and sweetened to balance autumn flavors, this no-bake treat is ideal for holiday gatherings or cozy evenings.

Ingredients

For the Pumpkin Cream Mixture

  • 1 15-ounce can pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 1/2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

For the Assembly

  • 2 cups brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 2 packages dry ladyfingers (savoiardi)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Cocoa powder (for dusting)
  • Optional garnishes: shaved chocolate, candied ginger

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coffee: Brew 2 cups of coffee and set aside to cool. Add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar to the coffee and whisk until fully dissolved.
  2. Pumpkin Cream Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, light brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar until combined. Add mascarpone cheese, cream cheese, and heavy cream. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed until soft peaks form, being careful not to overbeat.
  3. Assemble the Tiramisu: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee—do not soak them. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a 4-quart trifle dish or individual serving glasses. Spread a layer of the pumpkin cream mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat layering ladyfingers and pumpkin cream 5 more times, finishing with a layer of pumpkin cream on top.
  4. Chill: Cover the assembled tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight for best flavor and texture.
  5. Top and Serve: Before serving, top with whipped cream, dust with cocoa powder, and optionally garnish with shaved chocolate and candied ginger.

Notes

  • Be sure to quickly dip ladyfingers to avoid sogginess.
  • For best results, prepare the dessert the day before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  • Use soft cream cheese to ensure a smooth cream mixture.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of sugar added.
  • Optional garnishes add texture and enhance presentation.
