Description

Ingredients

  1. 1 prepared graham cracker or Oreo pie crust
  2. 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  3. 3/4 cup sugar
  4. 1/4 cup cornstarch
  5. 3 cups whole milk
  6. 4 egg yolks
  7. 2 tbsp butter
  8. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  9. Whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar and cornstarch.

  1. Gradually add milk while whisking until smooth.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  3. Temper the egg yolks by whisking a small amount of the hot mixture into them, then return yolks to the saucepan.
