Description

A creamy, decadent dessert combining the richness of dark chocolate with the smooth, buttery texture of ripe avocado. This guilt-free indulgence is perfect for anyone seeking a healthier alternative to traditional mousse.

Ingredients

  1. 2 ripe avocados
  2. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  3. 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. 1/4 cup almond milk or coconut milk (adjust for desired consistency)
  6. A pinch of salt
  7. 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)

Instructions

Start by cutting the avocados in half and removing the pits. Scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.

  1. Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, almond milk, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
  2. If using dark chocolate chips, melt them in the microwave or on the stovetop and add to the mixture.
  3. Blend everything until smooth and creamy. If the mousse is too thick, add a bit more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more maple syrup or honey.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
