Description
A creamy, decadent dessert combining the richness of dark chocolate with the smooth, buttery texture of ripe avocado. This guilt-free indulgence is perfect for anyone seeking a healthier alternative to traditional mousse.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup almond milk or coconut milk (adjust for desired consistency)
- A pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)
Instructions
Start by cutting the avocados in half and removing the pits. Scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
- Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, almond milk, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
- If using dark chocolate chips, melt them in the microwave or on the stovetop and add to the mixture.
- Blend everything until smooth and creamy. If the mousse is too thick, add a bit more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more maple syrup or honey.
- Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
