Description

Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup is a delightful dessert combining fresh strawberries, crunchy toasted kataifi phyllo dough, creamy pistachio cream, and luscious melted milk chocolate. This quick and elegant treat is perfect for a sweet snack or a fancy dessert, ready in just 13 minutes and serves two.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 8 medium-sized Strawberries

Cream & Dough

  • ½ cup Pistachio Cream
  • ½ cup Kataifi Phyllo Dough (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Chocolate & Nuts

  • ¾ cup Milk Chocolate (melted)
  • ¼ cup Pistachio nuts (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the kataifi dough: Chop the kataifi phyllo dough into small pieces and mix with melted butter. Toast the mixture in a pan over medium heat until golden brown or bake it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes until crisp and golden. Remove and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Combine dough and cream: In a small bowl, gently mix the toasted kataifi dough with pistachio cream until well combined. Set aside for assembling.
  3. Melt the chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate using a microwave in short bursts, stirring frequently, or use a double boiler method until smooth and glossy.
  4. Assemble the cups: In serving cups, arrange a layer of fresh strawberries, followed by the pistachio cream and toasted kataifi mixture. Drizzle generously with the melted milk chocolate over the top.
  5. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle the dessert with chopped pistachio nuts to add extra crunch and flavor. Serve immediately to enjoy the contrasting textures and rich flavors.

Notes

  • Toasting kataifi in a pan requires continuous stirring to avoid burning; baking may be easier for consistent results.
  • Use fresh, firm strawberries for the best texture and flavor.
  • You can substitute pistachio cream with mascarpone mixed with pistachio paste if unavailable.
  • For a dairy-free version, use vegan chocolate and substitute butter with coconut oil.
  • This dessert is best served fresh to maintain crispiness of the kataifi dough.
