Ingredients
Fruits
- 8 medium-sized Strawberries
Cream & Dough
- ½ cup Pistachio Cream
- ½ cup Kataifi Phyllo Dough (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Butter
Chocolate & Nuts
- ¾ cup Milk Chocolate (melted)
- ¼ cup Pistachio nuts (chopped)
Instructions
- Prepare the kataifi dough: Chop the kataifi phyllo dough into small pieces and mix with melted butter. Toast the mixture in a pan over medium heat until golden brown or bake it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes until crisp and golden. Remove and allow it to cool completely.
- Combine dough and cream: In a small bowl, gently mix the toasted kataifi dough with pistachio cream until well combined. Set aside for assembling.
- Melt the chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate using a microwave in short bursts, stirring frequently, or use a double boiler method until smooth and glossy.
- Assemble the cups: In serving cups, arrange a layer of fresh strawberries, followed by the pistachio cream and toasted kataifi mixture. Drizzle generously with the melted milk chocolate over the top.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle the dessert with chopped pistachio nuts to add extra crunch and flavor. Serve immediately to enjoy the contrasting textures and rich flavors.
Notes
- Toasting kataifi in a pan requires continuous stirring to avoid burning; baking may be easier for consistent results.
- Use fresh, firm strawberries for the best texture and flavor.
- You can substitute pistachio cream with mascarpone mixed with pistachio paste if unavailable.
- For a dairy-free version, use vegan chocolate and substitute butter with coconut oil.
- This dessert is best served fresh to maintain crispiness of the kataifi dough.
