Description
Drumstick Pie is a no-bake dessert inspired by the classic ice cream cone treat. With a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy vanilla filling, rich chocolate layer, and crunchy nut topping, this pie captures all the flavors of a Drumstick ice cream cone.
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust (or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream (softened)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for melting)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for melting chocolate)
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (or other nuts like almonds or pecans)
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the softened vanilla ice cream and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese and ice cream mixture until smooth and fluffy.
- Assemble the Pie: Spoon the cream mixture into the pre-made graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly and smoothing the top with a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours to allow it to set.
- Prepare the Chocolate Topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring until smooth. Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly before pouring it over the chilled pie.
- Add the Nuts: Sprinkle the chopped peanuts (or other nuts) over the top of the chocolate layer, pressing them in gently to help them stick.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
- Serve: Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can use a different crust such as an Oreo or shortbread crust for variety.
- If you prefer, you can use frozen yogurt or whipped cream instead of vanilla ice cream for a lighter filling.
- Freeze the pie for up to 1 month and let it thaw in the fridge before serving.
