Description

Drumstick Pie is a no-bake dessert inspired by the classic ice cream cone treat. With a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy vanilla filling, rich chocolate layer, and crunchy nut topping, this pie captures all the flavors of a Drumstick ice cream cone.

Ingredients

  1. 1 pre-made graham cracker crust (or homemade)
  2. 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  3. 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  4. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 cup vanilla ice cream (softened)
  7. 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for melting)
  8. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for melting chocolate)
  9. 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (or other nuts like almonds or pecans)
  10. 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the softened vanilla ice cream and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

  1. Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese and ice cream mixture until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Assemble the Pie: Spoon the cream mixture into the pre-made graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly and smoothing the top with a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours to allow it to set.
  3. Prepare the Chocolate Topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring until smooth. Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly before pouring it over the chilled pie.
  4. Add the Nuts: Sprinkle the chopped peanuts (or other nuts) over the top of the chocolate layer, pressing them in gently to help them stick.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
  6. Serve: Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. You can use a different crust such as an Oreo or shortbread crust for variety.
  2. If you prefer, you can use frozen yogurt or whipped cream instead of vanilla ice cream for a lighter filling.
  3. Freeze the pie for up to 1 month and let it thaw in the fridge before serving.
