Description

Deep-fried Oreos are a decadent treat featuring classic Oreo cookies dipped in pancake batter and fried until golden and crispy. With a warm, soft center and a crunchy coating, they’re a nostalgic fairground dessert made easily at home.

Ingredients

  1. 20 Oreo cookies
  2. 1 cup pancake mix
  3. 2/3 cup milk
  4. 1 egg
  5. Vegetable oil, for frying
  6. Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).

  1. In a medium bowl, mix pancake mix, milk, and egg until smooth.
  2. Dip each Oreo into the batter, coating it fully.
  3. Carefully drop the coated Oreos into the hot oil, frying 3–4 at a time.
  4. Fry for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
  5. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  1. Ensure Oreos are dry before dipping to help the batter stick.
  2. Use a thick batter to ensure even coating and crispy texture.
  3. Deep-fried Oreos are best served fresh and hot.
  4. Try flavored Oreos for different taste variations.
  5. Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying to maintain oil temperature.
