Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate mixture: Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter, honey, and butter to a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir well. Repeat microwaving in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. This typically takes about three increments but may vary depending on your microwave’s power.
- Combine with cereal: Stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until every piece is thoroughly coated with the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture.
- Transfer to pan: Pour the coated cereal mixture into a 9×9 inch square baking dish or pan. Spread and smooth it out evenly. For easier removal of the bars after chilling, line the pan with parchment paper that overlaps the edges.
- Chill and cut: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for 20 to 30 minutes until the mixture is firm. Once chilled, remove from the pan by lifting the parchment paper edges, then cut into your desired size—9 jumbo bars, 12 regular bars, or 18 mini bars.

- For stovetop melting, use a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over simmering water to melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, honey, and butter, stirring frequently until smooth.
