  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)
  • ⅛ tsp coconut extract (optional)
  • 2-3 ice cubes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Measure and toast the shredded unsweetened coconut if not already toasted. Chill the coconut cream by refrigerating the can beforehand to allow the thick cream to separate and solidify.
  2. Blend Base Ingredients: In a high-speed blender, add the chilled coconut cream, coconut ice cream, and vanilla extract if using. Blend these ingredients together until the mixture becomes creamy and smooth, forming the milkshake base.
  3. Enhance Flavor and Texture: Optionally add ¼ cup of toasted coconut shavings or ⅛ teaspoon of coconut extract to intensify the coconut flavor. If you prefer a colder or slightly thinner milkshake, add 2-3 ice cubes but be aware this may dilute the richness. Blend again until smooth.

Notes

  • Use full-fat coconut milk canned product to get enough thick coconut cream upon chilling.
