Description

Cool Whip Cookies are soft, crinkle-style cookies made with just cake mix, whipped topping, and an egg. Rolled in powdered sugar before baking, they’re quick, versatile, and perfect for effortless baking.

Ingredients

  1. 1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix (any flavor: chocolate, lemon, strawberry, etc.)
  2. 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  3. 1 large egg
  4. 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, Cool Whip, and egg. Stir until well blended; dough will be sticky.
  2. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
  3. Coat each ball thoroughly in powdered sugar.
  4. Place on prepared baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and tops are crackled.
  6. Cool on baking sheet for 2–3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • No chilling is required; bake immediately after mixing.
  • Lightly grease hands or use a cookie scoop to handle sticky dough.
  • Use any cake mix flavor for variety, including gluten-free mixes.
  • Mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts can be added to the dough.
