Description
A playful twist on the classic campfire treat, Cookie Dough S’mores feature safe-to-eat cookie dough wrapped around gooey marshmallows and melty chocolate, creating a warm, chewy, and nostalgic indulgence.
Ingredients
- 2 cups edible cookie dough (made with heat-treated flour, butter or dairy-free substitute, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt)
- 12 rolled cookie dough portions or disks
- 6 large marshmallows (or 1 cup mini marshmallows)
- 6 squares or 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark, milk, or flavored)
Instructions
Prepare edible cookie dough, ensuring flour is heat-treated. Chill for 30 minutes until firm enough to handle.
- Flatten each dough portion into a disk. Place one marshmallow (or a few mini marshmallows) and a piece of chocolate between two dough disks. Gently press and seal the edges to form a sandwich.
- For campfire: Wrap each sandwich in foil and place near flames or hot coals for 4–6 minutes, turning once until chocolate melts and marshmallow puffs.
- For oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place foil-wrapped sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for 5–7 minutes until warmed through.
- Carefully unwrap and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Chill dough longer or dust hands with extra heat-treated flour if sticky.
- For extra flavor, add cocoa powder, peanut butter, nuts, or coconut to the dough.
- For a vegan option, use dairy-free chocolate, vegan marshmallows, and plant-based butter.
- Foil helps prevent burning and keeps heat even—especially over a campfire.
