Description
Chunky Monkey Frozen Yogurt Bark is a delightful and healthy dessert or snack made with creamy yogurt, bananas, chocolate, and nuts. This easy-to-make frozen treat is perfect for hot summer days or anytime you crave a light, refreshing indulgence.
Ingredients
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (or flavored, if you prefer)
- 1 ripe banana, sliced
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (or any nuts of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional for added sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal of the bark.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract (if using), and honey or maple syrup (if using). Stir until smooth and well-blended.
- Spread the yogurt mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, creating a thin, even layer.
- Top the yogurt with banana slices, dark chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts (or your chosen nuts).
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for about 2-3 hours or until the bark is completely firm.
- Once frozen, break the yogurt bark into pieces and serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to try other fruits like strawberries, raspberries, or mango to mix things up.
- If you’re allergic to walnuts, use almonds, pecans, or even sunflower seeds instead.
- For a vegan version, swap to a dairy-free yogurt and use maple syrup instead of honey.
