Description
Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake is a quick and easy single-serving dessert that combines rich chocolate and peanut butter flavors into a moist, fluffy cake, ready in minutes using a microwave.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
 - 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
 - 2 tablespoons sugar
 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
 - Pinch of salt
 - 3 tablespoons milk
 - 2 tablespoons peanut butter
 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or melted butter
 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in milk, peanut butter, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
 - Microwave on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, until cake rises and is set in the center. Adjust time as needed for your microwave.
 - Let cake cool for a minute or two before eating.

Notes
- Add a tablespoon of chocolate chips for extra melty chocolate.
 - Top with whipped cream or ice cream for indulgence.
 - Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter on top before microwaving for a swirl effect.
 - Use plant-based milk and oil and substitute sugar with maple syrup for a vegan version.
 - Use gluten-free flour for gluten-free mug cake.
 - Use almond flour for a denser texture.
 - Use a larger mug and fill no more than halfway to prevent overflow.
 - Natural peanut butter works but stir well before measuring.
 - Can bake in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes in a ramekin.
 - Add chopped nuts like peanuts or walnuts for crunch.
 - Omitting cocoa powder removes chocolate flavor.
