Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s a delightful treat that’s easy to prepare and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Whipped Cream Mixture

  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey (from the 1/4 cup honey, divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon real vanilla extract (divided)

Peanut Butter Mixture

  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup natural sugar-free peanut butter, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons honey (from the 1/4 cup honey, divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon real vanilla extract (remaining)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Additional Ingredients and Garnish

  • 4 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • Remaining honey (for melting chocolate, approximately 1 tablespoon)
  • 1/3 cup roasted peanuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Make the whipped cream: In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a standing mixer, combine the heavy whipping cream, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Whip until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes, scraping down the bowl sides to ensure even mixing. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the peanut butter mixture: In another large bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, 2 tablespoons honey, remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and salt until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Combine mixtures: Gently fold about two-thirds of the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Chill mousse: Spoon the peanut butter mousse evenly into 4 dessert bowls or parfait glasses. Place in the refrigerator to chill for 10 minutes. Reserve the remaining whipped cream in the fridge for serving.
  5. Melt chocolate: Just before serving, melt the chopped unsweetened chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl by heating for 30 seconds, then stirring. Continue heating in 15-second intervals until fully melted. Stir in the remaining honey until smooth. Set aside.
  6. Assemble and serve: Remove the mousse from the fridge and top each serving with a spoonful of the reserved whipped cream. Drizzle melted chocolate over the top and garnish with chopped roasted peanuts. Serve immediately.
  7. Enjoy: Savor this creamy, rich dessert that perfectly balances chocolate and peanut butter flavors with a delightful crunch.

Notes

  • Use natural, sugar-free peanut butter for a healthier version without added sugars.
  • Make sure the cream cheese and peanut butter are at room temperature for smooth mixing.
  • Chilling the mousse briefly helps it set and enhances the texture.
  • Adjust the amount of honey to taste if you prefer a sweeter mousse.
  • Melt the chocolate carefully to avoid burning; use short intervals and stir often.
  • This dessert is best served the same day for optimal freshness and texture.
