- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- For the swirl:
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a bowl, prepare the brownie batter by whisking together melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth. Set aside.
- In another bowl, make the blondie batter by mixing melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Spoon the blondie batter in dollops over the brownie layer and gently spread to partially cover.
- Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over the surface. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the layers together.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Let the bars cool fully before cutting for clean slices.
- Use natural peanut butter only if it’s well stirred and not too oily.
- Add espresso powder to enhance chocolate flavor.
- For thicker bars, bake in a 9×9-inch pan and adjust baking time.
- Top with flaky sea salt or melted chocolate for a gourmet finish.
