Description

Chocolate Kiss Cookies are a delicious treat that combines a soft, chewy cookie with a milk chocolate Hershey’s Kiss at the center, creating a perfect balance of flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  1. 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1 large egg
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/4 cup milk
1 cup milk chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (optional)
    24 Hershey’s Kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats to prevent sticking.

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Add the milk: Stir in the milk until the dough comes together. If you’re using chocolate chips or chopped chocolate, fold them in at this point.
  6. Shape the dough: Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake the cookies: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown and the centers are set. Be careful not to overbake, as you want them to remain soft.
  8. Press in the Kisses: As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie, gently pressing down so it sticks. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve: Once the cookies are completely cooled, enjoy them with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage!

Notes

  1. Add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans to the dough for added texture and flavor.
  2. Try adding cinnamon or espresso powder to the dough for a unique twist.
  3. Experiment with different Hershey’s Kisses flavors like caramel-filled, almond, or peppermint for a fun variation.
