Description

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Toffee Bark combines rich chocolate, crunchy toffee, and the fruity sweetness of strawberries in a decadent treat. A perfect dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup toffee bits (or crushed toffee candy)
  2. 8 oz semisweet or milk chocolate, chopped (or use chocolate chips)
  3. 8 oz white chocolate, chopped (or use white chocolate chips)
  4. 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed into small pieces
  5. 1/4 cup crushed nuts (optional – almonds, pistachios, or hazelnuts)
  6. A pinch of sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  1. Melt the Semisweet Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
  2. Melt the White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in a separate heatproof bowl using the same method.
  3. Spread the Chocolate: Pour the melted semisweet chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into a thin, even layer.
  4. Add Toffee and Nuts: Sprinkle the toffee bits and crushed nuts (if using) over the chocolate and gently press them in.
  5. Drizzle the White Chocolate: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer in a zigzag pattern.
  6. Top with Strawberries: Sprinkle the crushed freeze-dried strawberries over the white chocolate drizzle, pressing them lightly to adhere.
  7. Chill the Bark: Refrigerate the bark for 1-2 hours until set and firm.
  8. Break into Pieces: Once set, break the bark into pieces and serve.

Notes

  1. Substitute toffee bits with crushed caramel candies or butter toffee nuts for a similar flavor.
  2. For a less sweet bark, use dark chocolate and reduce the white chocolate and toffee bits.
  3. For added texture, top the bark with coconut flakes, crushed pretzels, or sprinkles.
  4. Store the bark in the fridge for a firmer texture or at room temperature for softer bark.
