Description

A flavorful and savory dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich and aromatic garlic sauce. The buttery, tangy sauce perfectly complements the chicken, making it an easy yet impressive meal.

Ingredients

  1. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 cup chicken broth
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream, butter, and lemon juice. Stir well to combine, allowing the sauce to simmer and thicken for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon some sauce over the top, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the chicken through and coat it in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  1. Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers to the garlic sauce for more flavor and texture.
  2. For extra juiciness, you can substitute chicken breasts with chicken thighs.
  3. Add red pepper flakes or fresh chili to the garlic sauce for a spicy kick.
  4. White wine can be added before the chicken broth for an extra layer of flavor.
  5. To make this dish dairy-free, use coconut cream and a dairy-free butter substitute.
