Description
A handheld version of the classic Caesar salad, combining grilled chicken, crisp lettuce, Parmesan cheese, Caesar dressing, and croutons in a soft tortilla wrap.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup Romaine lettuce, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
1/4 cup croutons, crushed
4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Heat a grill pan or regular pan over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
- While the chicken is cooking, chop the Romaine lettuce and crush the croutons.
- In a large bowl, toss the chopped lettuce with Caesar dressing and grated Parmesan cheese. Add the crushed croutons and gently mix.
- Lay the tortillas flat and place the Caesar salad mixture in the center of each one. Add the sliced chicken on top.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
- Slice the wrap in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier twist, add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the dressing.
- If you prefer a healthier version, substitute the flour tortilla with a whole wheat or spinach wrap.
- For a vegetarian version, skip the chicken and use roasted chickpeas or grilled tofu as the protein.
- To prevent sogginess, keep the dressing separate and add it just before serving.
