Description

Chef Salad Sticks are a portable twist on the classic salad, featuring bite-sized pieces of deli meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetables, all drizzled with your favorite dressing.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup cooked chicken breast, cubed (or ham, turkey, or roast beef)
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
1/2 cup Swiss cheese, cut into cubes
1 cucumber, sliced into thick rounds
1/2 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
    1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
    1/4 cup black olives (optional)
1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
1/4 cup Italian dressing or your favorite salad dressing
    Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
    Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

Prepare the ingredients by cutting meats and cheeses into bite-sized cubes. Slice the cucumber, bell pepper, and red onion into chunks. Halve the cherry tomatoes and set everything aside.

  1. Thread the ingredients onto the skewers in an alternating pattern. For example, start with cucumber, followed by a tomato, then chicken, followed by cheese cubes, and repeat.
  2. Once the skewers are assembled, drizzle them with your choice of dressing (Italian dressing works well) and add salt, pepper, or fresh herbs like parsley for extra flavor.
  3. Arrange the skewers on a platter and serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Variations: Add more vegetables like carrots, zucchini, or radishes. For a spicy version, use jalapeño or pepperoncini slices.
  • Grilled Version: Grill the skewers for a few minutes on a preheated grill to add a smoky flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftover skewers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
