Description

These Cheesecake Brownies blend the rich, fudgy texture of brownies with the creamy, tangy flavor of cheesecake, creating a decadent treat. With an easy preparation and endless variations, this dessert is perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add in the eggs, one at a time, along with vanilla extract. Mix until well-combined.
  • Sift the cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the wet ingredients, then stir until fully incorporated. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract for the cheesecake layer until smooth and creamy. Spoon the cheesecake mixture on top of the brownie batter and gently swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
  • Fresh berries like raspberries or strawberries can add a fresh touch to the cheesecake layer.
  • Try adding lemon zest or almond extract to the cheesecake for a unique flavor.
  • Refrigerate leftovers for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
