Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (or more for pan-searing)

1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)


Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, smoked paprika (optional), salt, and pepper.

  • Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken breasts. Let the chicken sit for 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil.

  • Grill or pan-sear the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  • Optionally, add a tablespoon of butter to the pan for extra flavor.

  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For spicier chicken, increase the amount of cayenne or add hot sauce.

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts if you prefer a juicier result. Adjust cooking time as needed.
