Description

Blueberry Bubble Up is a quick and easy dessert combining sweet blueberries with flaky biscuit dough, baked to golden perfection in a simple syrup for a warm, gooey, and irresistible treat.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (flaky style)
  2. 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  3. 1/2 cup sugar (granulated)
  4. 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  5. 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for added flavor)
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

  1. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and place them in the prepared baking dish.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until the blueberries are coated with sugar.
  3. Pour the blueberry mixture over the biscuit dough in the baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter and vanilla extract (if using) over the top.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the blueberries are bubbly.
  6. Allow it to cool slightly before serving, and enjoy!

Notes

  1. Can substitute blueberries with other berries like strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries.
  2. For extra flavor, add lemon zest or a pinch of nutmeg to the blueberry mixture.
  3. Leftovers can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  4. This dish is best served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
