Ingredients
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
 - 1 package frozen hashbrowns (about 30 oz)
 - 1 can refrigerated biscuits (8-count)
 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
 - 2 cups milk
 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1 tablespoon butter
 - 2 eggs

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
 - Cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from the pan and set aside.
 - In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the flour is lightly golden.
 - Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy (about 3-5 minutes).
 - Add the cooked sausage back into the gravy mixture, stir to combine, and remove from heat.
 - In the prepared baking dish, layer the frozen hashbrowns evenly on the bottom.
 - Tear the biscuits into small pieces and scatter them over the hashbrowns.
 - Pour the sausage gravy mixture over the casserole, spreading it out evenly.
 - Crack the eggs on top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
 - Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and the biscuits are golden brown.
 - Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute breakfast sausage with plant-based sausage or mushrooms.
 - Add sautéed vegetables like spinach, peppers, or onions for extra nutrition.
 - You can experiment with different cheese varieties like mozzarella or pepper jack.
 - For a spicier version, add diced green chilies or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
