Description

Beef Tacos are a quick and flavorful Mexican dish that’s easy to make with ground beef, taco seasoning, and fresh toppings. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or taco night with friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)

  • 2/3 cup water

  • Taco shells (soft or crunchy)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded

  • 1 tomato, diced

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup salsa

  • 1/4 cup jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

  • Drain any excess fat and return the beef to the skillet.

  • Stir in the taco seasoning and water, then simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and is well-combined.

  • While the beef is simmering, prepare the taco shells according to the package instructions (either warm soft tortillas or bake crunchy taco shells).

  • Once the beef is ready, spoon it into the taco shells.

  • Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños if desired.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a leaner version, substitute ground turkey for beef.

  • To add more flavor, use spicy salsa or extra jalapeños.

  • For a vegetarian version, swap the beef with black beans or crumbled tofu.
