- 1 lemon, zested and juiced

- Black pepper, to taste
- Water, as needed to adjust consistency
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients: In the bowl of a food processor fitted with an S blade, add the avocado chunks, Greek yogurt, and the lemon zest and juice. Add the Aleppo pepper or crushed red pepper flakes if using, along with a generous pinch of kosher salt and black pepper.
- Blend until smooth: Process the mixture, pausing occasionally to scrape down the sides of the processor bowl, until the crema is smooth, fluffy, and fully combined, approximately 3 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and texture: Taste the crema and adjust the seasoning by adding more salt, pepper, or pepper flakes if desired. If the crema is too thick, add water one teaspoon at a time, blending after each addition until the desired smooth consistency is achieved.
- Serve or store: Serve the avocado crema immediately as a topping or dip, or transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to three days.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier crema, increase the amount of Aleppo pepper or crushed red pepper flakes gradually.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute Greek yogurt with a thick coconut yogurt or cashew cream.
- Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best bright flavor.
