Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 6–7 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour or 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Stir in melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Press the crust mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pie dish. Bake for 8–10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice.
- Add brown sugar, flour or cornstarch, 1 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until apples are evenly coated.
- Spoon the apple filling into the cooled crust, pressing gently to compact the layers.
- Bake the pie for 45–50 minutes, until apples are tender and bubbling. Cover edges with foil if crust browns too quickly.
- Let the pie cool for at least 1 hour before slicing to allow the filling to set.
- Serve warm or chilled, plain or topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
