Ingredients
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp melted butter
Apple Filling:
- 3 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp butter
Crisp Topping:
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp cold butter, cubed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of each tortilla with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Drape tortillas over oven-safe bars or place between muffin tin cups to shape into tacos. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. Let cool.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Cook until apples are soft and syrupy, about 8–10 minutes. Set aside.
- For the topping, mix flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Spread topping on a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crisp, stirring halfway through. Let cool.
- To assemble, spoon warm apple filling into each taco shell, top with crisp oat topping, and serve immediately.
