Description

Apple Cinnamon Brownies are a soft and chewy fall-inspired twist on traditional brownies, made without chocolate and filled with warm cinnamon spice and tender apple chunks.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups apples, peeled and diced (e.g. Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
  5. Fold in the diced apples gently with a spatula.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before slicing into squares.

  • Drizzle with vanilla or cream cheese glaze for added sweetness.
  • Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for deeper flavor.
