Description

Air Fryer Banana Nut Bread is a quick and easy version of the classic banana bread, featuring a moist, tender interior and a crispy crust, with the added crunch of walnuts or pecans.

Ingredients

  1. 2 ripe bananas, mashed
    1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar (or white sugar)
    2 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.

  1. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  2. Add the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. If using, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans for added texture and flavor.
  6. Grease a 6-inch round or square baking pan that fits into your air fryer basket.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Place the pan into the air fryer basket and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
  9. Once the bread is cooked, carefully remove it from the air fryer and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Storage: Store the banana nut bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate it for up to a week.
