Description
Air fryer apple pie bombs are a quick, easy twist on the classic apple pie. These bite-sized treats are filled with cinnamon-spiced apples and wrapped in a crispy, flaky pastry, all cooked in the air fryer for a perfect golden finish.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)
1 cup apple pie filling (store-bought or homemade)
1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar (for topping)
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the biscuit dough on a flat surface and press each biscuit flat with your fingers.
- Spoon a small amount of apple pie filling into the center of each biscuit. Be careful not to overfill.
- Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching them together to seal the edges. Form each dough into a ball.
- Brush each apple pie bomb with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Place the prepared apple pie bombs in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not overcrowded. You may need to cook them in batches.
- Air fry the bombs at 350°F for 8-10 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
- Once done, remove from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- If desired, drizzle with extra cinnamon sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgence.
Notes
- Use homemade apple pie filling for a more personalized flavor.
- Experiment with different fruit fillings like cherry, blueberry, or peach for variety.
- For a vegan option, swap butter with coconut oil and use dairy-free biscuit dough.
